I vote Tate. That might have been the single most boneheaded play I have ever seen. You have to try REAL hard to be that stupid. He was standing on the goal line! Are you kidding me! Why does he return punts at all. It makes no sense. Jones is the far superior punt returner. Is it an injury concern?

Seems to me that Tate gets put back there if Jones has played a lot of defensive snaps in the prior series. Makes sense not to put a tired Jones back there - Especially given his injury history. I just wish the back-up returner weren't Tate. Baby Hawk must not be very reliable at fielding punts - He seems to be a logical choice. That or Marvin is stupid......

BTW.... How good has Darren Simmons been this season? The fake punts, that kick-off last night, great coverage, etc., etc. Aside from Marvin Lewis, this team has some good coaches.

Yeah, I agree. Jones is far more valuable as a defensive back. I just hate to miss his explosiveness returning punts. Darren has been lights out.
