That were all pretty savvy college football guys...and girls, right? What are some scenarios to blow the BCS out of more proportion than it already is?

As of today Rankings go as follows:

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas
4. Ok State
5. VT
6. Stanford
7. Boise St.
8. Houston

As of now all of these teams are undefeated and or have one loss with a shot or outside shot at the MNC. What happens if Georgia wins the SEC? OU beats Ok State, VT gets beat in the ACC Champ game or by Virginia? What are some other scenarios that would blow the whole top off this thing to where we have 2 teams no one even thought would be there.

Would you watch a Houston vs. Oregon National Championship game?

Georgia vs Big 10 Champ?

Discuss.

If LSU wins Friday and loses to UGA in Atlanta, they would still play for a NC. I don't think they would fall behind anyone other than BAMA.

That would be ridiculous. In the current format, a team shouldn't play for the national championship if they can't even win their own conference.

A NCG featuring LSU and Alabama....neither being the SEC conference champion would probably kill the BCS as we know it.....

I meant exactly what I said. UGA & USC were the two best teams in the country.

The biggest arguement against UGA in the NCG was that they didn't win or even play for their conference title.

The precedence has been set, going against it would really piss me off.

Now this I can agree with. I am not a fan of the BCS and want a true playoff. This could be the preverbal last straw to end the BCS.

Whats funny is that so many people hate the BCS and the SEC but if we had a playoff there is a good chance that it will be an all SEC NC Game on a regular basis (I would say somewhere between 25 to 50 percent of the time).

The precedence? It isn't even the same circumstance. You were also a two loss team that year and LSU won the conference. They went and you didn't because of that. UGA lost to a 6-6 South Carolina and a 9-4 Tennessee team. Ohio State had one loss. What part of this draws any comparison to Alabama's situation this year? You people are blindly comparing apples and oranges, all of you. Winning you conference is not part of the requirements. If there is a logical way to avoid a rematch and/or allowing a team that hasn't won their conference to get in then they will do that. Make no mistake. But the only team that has a logical reason to get into this game right now is Okie Light. And if they lose to OU? What will be your suggestion then? Stanford? Who most likely won't even win their conference? Boise St? Who couldn't even get through the biggest cake walk in the BCS standings? You naysayers need to take a step back and digest what is really going on here.

LSU also had 2 losses that year. They lost to Kentucky & Arkansas.

LOL you naysayers LOL

The similarity is that they were the most deserving team (Bama), but everyone said that if you don't win, much less play for, you CCG - you shouldn't be considered for the NCG.

I don't blame you guys for wanting a rematch & looking for any way possible to get into the NCG, but the fact is you already lost to LSU. Yeah, it was close - yeah, I think bama is the better team - but they couldn't get it done... better luck next year.
