I want to be clear about the Red Sox

They are my home town team. I enjoy playoff baseball but will unless nothing else is on will not watch a full game.

That being said: I do follow the team via news and such.

I logged onto FB to see like 27 posts about how the Sox lost and Jackie Bradley this and that...

Its fucking game 1 of like a 185 game season. FFS chill the hell out.

Bradley's been frustrating so far in the majors, but people have to remember he has just over 100 major league plate appearances.

Not the least bit worried right now.

The Red Sox won't win as many games as last year but after one game why is there so much panic? JBJ needs to be sent down or traded? Are you kidding me? All this sports talk radio where people calling in paranoid need to lighten up!

They do need to lighten up but don't count on it happening. They have unrealistic expectations of Bradley and that is going to be the problem. I don't want to cause trouble and not basing my opinion on 100 AB's BUT Bradley is not THAT good. He simply isn't. His career will be spent as a 4th OF and I would be willing to bet that.

Last year he was over-hyped imo and it has carried over till this year. He gets off to a slow start and it's Armageddon around here. He will be a "decent" player but in a few years.
