Exactly, which is why of the top folks mentioned, Jake Matthews is the only one getting a private workout with the Rams. They expect to trade down to get him.

Except that Fisher's answer was the reverse of what he would have said if it was smoke and mirrors...Why would anybody want to trade up to #2 if they wanted Watkins, if they knew the Rams wouldn't take him ??? And if the Rams did take him, the trade-down was off the table at anyway...

outsiders view here but its briliiant. No one is trading up for watkins, fisher knows that. He may really want him. But the pieces people want are clowney or a qb. By saying HE IS NOT interested in watkins, he leaves the door open for clowney or a qb. He is actually generating more trade interest. If teams know hes gonna take watkins, then why would the trade with him, they could trade with the jags or someone else at a lower spot...............
