Probably getting old and jaded.

There have been things to complain about (before tonight), but you haven't been a big complainer at all. At least that I noticed. :suds: Some others, on the other hand....

The officiating crew got under my skin a little tonight. I thought they were pretty bad but the Broncos kicked the Packers' asses anyway.

I've probably been the biggest complainer here and other than dumb penalties keeping drives alive for Green Bay tonight we played almost perfect. The Offense finally showed up and the Defense came through when it mattered.

Thought we were likely to have a top notch defense, which it looks like we do. Sure didn't expect to have a bottom of the barrel offense, however, so I loved the improvement tonight. Getting TEs and RBs going was huge, in my opinion. Hope to see that going forward.

Next up is the Colts and an opportunity to continue the improvement on offense. That team doesn't look too good so far.

I think we will see the offense continue to improve overall, although this was a standout game, so we won't be this good most of the time. We will probably go back to having Manning under center for certain games or portions of games, and when we do, the offense will struggle some, but we will hopefully continue to make steady progress in that phase of the offense.

Peyton played great tonight - with confidence and some swagger - looking for the TEs was huge - FINALLY

For the first time in a long time, he made this Bronco fan proud

Wade Phillips is a defensive genius - the way they contained Rogers, and the way the CBs kept coverage - a thing of beauty

The fans who suggested benching Manning look very FOOLISH right now. You do not mess with this chemistry. The defense is awesome, and we have a hall of fame QB that can dig down deep and play a big game even though his skills are diminishing.

Why ? ... because he looked shot going back to last season, and worse the first 6 games this year ? .....

This was a great win, but it was coming off a bye in perfect weather conditions .. I am really glad Manning summoned some balls and came out firing, but as we have seen with guys like Champ Bailey, the skills can go pretty fast ...

That was my thinking too. As others have mentioned, though, the entire offense looked last night as if it hit its stride. While I have always thought that QBs get both too much credit and too much blame, I think I might have been guilty of questioning Manning's capability too soon. Certainly hope so.

For me Manning was definitely on a short leash. The team was winning despite his play. If the losses started coming in then yeah definitely time to look elsewhere as his play if it had continued down that same path would have been a part of that in my opinion. The offense looked great and for the first time this year Manning actually looked comfortable in the offense we wanted to run. He looked very decisive with his passes and had some great zip on most of them. His deep ball accuracy looked so much better. Now this is one game. I am still a bit skeptical that we can continue to be this good on offense week in and week out but right now Manning looked the best he has looked against the best team we have played all year.

One thing I thought was interesting, during the broadcast one of the things they said is that Manning had told them that he thought indecision led to some of his accuracy issues. That certainly makes sense to me, but I hadn't really considered it before. If you're unsure of yourself, it could lead to mechanical breakdowns which could affect accuracy.

Last night was really the first time he's looked comfortable this season, and his accuracy was markedly better. I don't think he's thrown a better pass all year than that deep ball to DT early in the second quarter. And isn't this basically how we all envisioned the offense would look this year?

I expected the offense to struggle some early as the line got experience and Manning and the receivers got comfortable in the offense and got the timing down, and I think the team probably expected it, too. But I don't think anyone expected it to struggle as badly as it did. But maybe, just maybe, now that the line is gelling, and the running game is coming around, and DT gets over the dropsies, and Manning gets comfortable in the offense, this offense can turn into the unit we thought it could be leading up to this season.

From listening last night and today here is what I came away with...That Bye week couldn't have come at a better time for this team. From the sound of it Kubiak and Manning had a big meeting the first day of the Bye week and sat down and watched every single offensive snap. They discussed what went right, what went wrong, and what could they figure out to get this offense going. They were both very honest with each other of the situation. Manning then went to work having the WR's/TE's stay for a bit and work on the timing part of the offense. Obviously we saw with quite a few of those deep balls early in the year Manning just looked off in his timing. Some of that was OL just not giving him time but I also think DT missing most of the off season and Sanders being injured for most of training camp just destroyed any kind of timing they could develop. Throw in then new players at the other positions.

I also think players just did not know exactly what they were supposed to do on a given play going against a certain formation. Kubiak's offense asks a WR to do something different against a certain formation where Manning's offense asks them to do something different. It looked like they just didn't know the right route. I'm wondering if they simplified some of that over the Bye Week so players were not having to think as much. DT looked like he ran with a lot more authority in this last game. Need that from our $70 million WR.

Finally the OL actually having an entire week to work together with nobody needing to rest because of injuries. They needed that time to unify and man did it show up big this week. Green Bay has been a very good Run stopping defense and obviously were 2nd in sacks to only us. Yet they hardly touched Manning and the holes the RB's had to run through were pretty impressive. I actually was a bit disappointed in CJ/Ronnie as there were a couple of times the cut back spot was wide open and they decided to stretch it more to the outside. I think they will get better at that part though. Scary to think our run game could get better than yesterday.
