You too? I'll say this though: if we get Iupati, draft a solid RT, and put in, maybe Spencer Long at another guard spot, our o-line might be all right. If so, we've got the pieces on offense to be pretty darn good. Lotsa "ifs" though.

I don't think so. Bruce has to go, that's obvious, but Scot will get some talent in here. I must admit, I have little to no confidence in Jay right now. I could be wrong, but it just seems as if the job is too big for him.

You people are stupid how is it Bruce Allens ties to it ? Have you ever thought that these DC'S that we are going after just don't want to play for our God awful team ? It's I mean they do have a say so in their lives as well its not always about the money to some people you idiots I mean it was just said the skins prepared to make vic the highest paid dc in the league and he still chose the Bears you people need to get a fuking clue sometimes

We were told it was Gruden's call on the QB, then he started the QB he did not want to start at the end of the year. We were told it was Gruden's call on the DC, then they halted giving the job to Barry so Snyder could spend an entire day interviewing Fangio. Now it's not clear who was really behind both the trade up for Griffin and the trade for McNabb. Rumor has it Shanny wanted Bulger not McNabb

To say I'm worried that it's just the same old movie over and over again is an understatement.

gruden said he knew fangio was a long shot but he would be stupid not to interview him . they offered him the highest paying contract in the NFL . what more can you do ?

So a few days ago you posted this:

Just adding a few guys in key areas through free agency and the draft could really change this team around we already have building blocks in areas of importance now we gotta just fill in the rest of the problem areas

Now you post that the team will probably suck for years? Huh? Your post from a few days sounded pretty optimistic (maybe I am reading it incorrectly) now you seem to be spouting gloom & doom - based on what? A D coordinator who people feel won't work out? Please - let this play out before jumping to conclusions. Worst case -the whole coaching staff is fired at the end of the season, but they have a solid GM who will bring in needed talent & also be the one who picks the new staff. I can live with that.

Oh I hear you dad, they did all they could. But you can't blame a highly sought after DC for not wanting to step into this sink hole

As for countryroad's thread how can we possibly not see a pattern here of old Allen guys?

well it is a case of paying for past sins . i get the allen connection but lets hope this guy has learned from his 1st experience and adds something for us

if not then you know the current staff could be gone

Maybe take him out to places where D-Hall took D-Jax to finally sign here. Just a thought.
