Man, talk about armchair quarterbacking... Tad for HC; he's got it all figured out, now all Bo has to do is follow his recipe for success.
Yeah because being simple and consistent on offense is such a crazy idea
We should be thankful for backs like helu Rex and AA. who have been a beast and helped us greatly on offense
Not that I disagree by any means, but could you define the bolded.
Not simple, but rather simpler is what is needed. Too simple and you don't have a lot of options. Too complicated and, as stated, the plays don't get enough practice.
When I coached we ran 4 basic plays. (8 if you consider the play to the left a separate play from the same basic play to the right) But we could run them from several formations with a minor tweak here or there. Add in a little something special for each formation and you can keep the defense guessing all day.
Feed the Offensive Line steroids and I'm telling you.......we can just run the same play over and over again
and they work fast too. Hell look at Missouri.

This is exactly right. I know of a number of coaches who run a very limited playbook and count on execution to win their games. It works and your team knows exactly what to do all the time. Mistake free football wins a lot of games
like beck admitted to he tried to run so many plans that alot of what he was calling wasn't practice that much during the week.
Next year one side is gonna have to step up and carry the team either offense or defense. but offense wise simple would help esp with TA and Johnny being. we got the wr Corp and backs let them handle the pressure
Now that's a novelty. All one has to do is look at the Michigan and the Georgia games to see what close to mistake free football will do for a team! That will even allow a team with inadequate coaching to have great records!
It also leaves the terminally negative with nothing to bitch about
