But we now must beat Kansas at home on Saturday, or our chances are slim...........based on our RPI and horrible OOC strength of schedule, even if we finish 8-8, we will have to win at least 2 games in the Big 12 tourney to be considered as a bubble team.

If we are 3-5 following this weekend, then we will have to win 6 of the last 9 after that to make the tournament.

Such a bummer of a performance tonight..........

If you look at our schedule coming up for BBall, I really don't see much of a chance we win any of our next 3. That then would put us @ 3-7 in conference & way out of the picture.....I think that would even put us at 15-9

Kansas (L) in all reality. We had our chance to nip them on the road. We will have their full attention on saturday. Nasty shit

Baylor (L) just lost to Okla. Their in the Kstate mode. They have more talent than us & their backs are against the wall.....maybe not a shit stomping but a loss nonetheless

Oklahoma State (W/L) @ home gives us our best chance to win in the next 3. Knocked off Misery tonight....granted it was in Stillwater. I don't have high hopes for this one.

Then after that we've got Oklahoma, Texas, KState (again), Iowa State. Chalk up the Texas as a loss (you'd think). Even if we win 2 of the other 3 that only puts us @ 17-11.

I actually think we match up way better vs Baylor and Okie State than we did against KState.........it's weird how games play out just from the way teams match up against each other. Because for instance, Okie State beat Kansas State pretty badly, Kansas State beat Baylor handily, and Baylor beat the shit out of Okie State ......go figure.

We got the shit kicked out of us by Kansas State, but Kansas State got beat by Colorado..........and we kicked the shit out of Colorado.

Basketball is a funny game......it really just matters how you match up against a team.

Or.....if you're any good or not. I coach basketball & though it's not D1 basketball (by a long shot) I will tell you that we may "match-up" well with the best team we're going to play but if we suck it doesn't matter if I have guys that can bang with their big boys, or guards that are quick as shit. If we can't dribble, shoot & rebound we're fucked.

Basketball IS about match-ups to a degree. When you're a good team against other good teams it is ALL about match-ups. When you're not overly......oh whats the word......good, it doesn't matter.

Like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

You guys drank the Kool-Aid too soon, wanting a winner so bad in basketball. Better, but pretty hard to be worse than we were.

But see.......this is what we said after the TT loss as well..........then we come back and beat #13 Texas A&M.

I think preparation and attitude will take any team a long ways. I remember this high school team that we had to play every year. My team averaged 64 points per game on offense, but we only won 6 games because we gave up 70+

But this one team we played, they would go 21-0 every single year and they would only average 43 points on offense........but they would consistently hold teams to under 40 points. They didn't ever have athletes, they just played like they were going to war every single game.......and they still do it to this day. In fact, we had way more athleticism than they did, and they ended up getting 2nd at state my Senior year and we ended up getting last place in subdistricts

My team had a terrible attitude though..........3 out of the 5 starters (including myself) went on to play college ball. That other school that I mentioned that got 2nd at state.........0 of them went on to play college ball.
