I guess I am a bit confused. Why is Buffalo in the wild card round?

I have paid less attention this year to everything in sports than I have.....ever.

I am sure there have been changes I am unaware of, but the Bills are the number 2 seed. Does only the one seed get a bye week now?

In a single elimination, that seems a bit unlucky for them. Especially when homefield advantage is not quite what it usually is.

Then again, it used to be worse. For instance many people don't know when the Dolphins went unbeaten in 72, they had to win the AFC Championship game on the road in Pittsburgh.

Which to me makes that a bit more impressive.
