Because they're in shorts and helmets. Receivers always win in shorts and helmets. I'd be more concerned if Givens WASN'T that wide open. Lol.

Hey... nothin' wrong with that! :suds:

Personally, I came on board back in 1986, which, incidentally, was Newsome's rookie year. I'm sure there's another one sandwiched in there somewhere, but Newsome was actually the first guy that came to mind for me, when I saw that Johnson was wearing #22. Lol.

 Dick Bass was the first running back when I took a real interest in for the Rams. Throughout the years he remained my favorite player. Oh there were better Rams players and RBs but he focused me on the horns. As a Dodgers fan since 1958, Kershaw is the best lefthander I ever saw. He has all the tools to be better than Sandy Koufax and Whitey Ford and more power than Warren Spann. As far as a right hander, two guys, Nolan Ryan and Bob Gibson. Living so long has given me the pleasure to see each pitch in person.:suds:

I loved watching Dick Bass "The Scooter" play also. The first RB I paid attention to was Jon Arnett. Nothing spectacular, but he did a decent job.

Kershaw is terrific, but I still have to give the nod to Koufax. I'm looking forward to Kershaw changing my mind.

He does have the time Silas, I watched Sandy and Don in the early 60s on many occasions, it was just unfortunate Sandy had his career cut short. I hope Kershaw's is long and all in blue and white.

No doubt in my mind that Kershaw has the best curve ball in MLB...Koufax did as well in his day, IMO...Koufax bothered me when he came up with that silly ephis (or however it's spelled) pitch..Every time he threw it (which thankfully was very seldom), I thought I had switched to a slow-pitch softball game....Seems to me that Koufax threw a little harder in his prime...I remember listening to Vin Scully call Sandy's perfect game against the Cubs...Scully will forever be the benchmark for baseball announcers...The very best ever at what he does...Back to football, I suppose...
