Can't wait that long to take a safety. They have to get one at #13, #44 or #75 at the latest.
The Safeties went quickly in my draft.

Also, no safety is worth #13 in this draft imo

Yeah, I think if the Rams are thinking safety in the 1st, they may try and trade down from #13. But if they have no takers and safety is the best value at #13, they will take one ( whether it is Dix or Pryor ).

Yeah, wouldn't that be nice? Never gonna happen though. Matthews is not falling to 13 unless the dude shreds his knee prior to the draft.

Yeah I know. Who knows if the rams will trade that #2 pick sometime before the draft then we can do this again with who knows how many picks.

That would be ideal, but I don't see it happening this year because the Texans don't know what they are doing with their pick. If they are really serious about trading their pick, it would have to happen before the draft so the Rams could gage interest from other teams about possible trades.

Plus, nobody knows if the Texans are going QB or Clowney at this point if they keep their pick, so that is going to play a factor as well.

I think the Texans will end up keeping their pick and drafting a QB seeing how all theirs hit a wall all this season.

The Texans not drafting a QB would be unprecedented and ridiculous considering:

1) Rookie QB contracts (post-Bradford) aren't bad at all
2) Free Agent QB contracts are very expensive even for an average Joe
3) Its a passing league

The Texans are drafting a QB.

Yeah. Only question is who they draft? Manziel or some other QB.

I want to say that you're crazy but you see Luck running wild in the AFC South and Manziel is even more mobile.

The bottom line is that we are not picking at #2... whether it is at #4, #6 or #8, we will not get Clowney. Take him out of the equation and I look at things like this. As good as Robinson and Matthews are, there are guys at OT that are closer to them in the middle rounds than there are OLB closer to Barr or Mack in the middle rounds. That is why I say OLB and S in the first, OT in the 2nd, QB in the 3rd, DT in the 4th, S/CB in the 5th, OG in the 6th and a WR or another S in the 7th... and we can get depth with the compensatories now ( more DB's , WR, another O Lineman )

KSU

They can't wait that long to take a safety. They need a starter at safety, not just depth.
They can get a QB later since they are sticking with Bradford. If he falters this year, they can draft one higher next year if the one they take later in the draft this year doesn't show promise.

I said Safety in first round ALR... we will leave the first round with either Dix or Pryor. I also think we will draft another S and CB later in the draft...

And I only say QB in the 3rd because the guys I want to develop seem to be getting slotted in the 3rd and 4th.. (Garappolo, McCarron, Fales or Boyd)
