On the CFB board there is a thread about Texas and GT moving to the B1G. Obviously that is 99% BS and isn't going to happen.

But it brought a funny question to mind and interested to hear what Nebraska fans would think if it DID happen. IF Texas moved to the B1G.....would you guys likely move back to the Big12 You guys and Oklahoma back together.

There is absolutely no substance to this theory, just a question and thought. Would it even be a smart move on Nebraska part to move back if it were the case, I know you guys get more $$ and academically it is better to be in the b1g. But just a question.

Oh and if this needs to be moved into a more fitting thread on here, go ahead.

In this scenario I:

Love the additions to the conference

Still want nothing to do with Big XII

Nebraska moved to the Big 10 for stability. The addition of Texas will not disrupt that stability. They would be squashed like a cockroach if they tried.

If Texas make the move (which they won't), I hope they bring Oklahoma with them.

Texas is more than welcome to join the B1G by themselves. No block of four Texas schools.

Conference HQ remains in Illinois.

Commissioner remains Delany.

CCG remains in the north.

All B1G games will be broadcast on the BTN, not the LHN.

No Texas based officiating crews.

Texas MUST travel to Ohio and Michigan in November in their first year.

Texas needs to up their academics for the athletes that pretend to be students. Texas latest GSR is 56%, the lowest in the B1G belongs to Purdue at 64%. Texas players can't even graduate in six years. Historically, Texas has always been #11 in GSR in the Big 12, only Oklahoma is worse.

Since Texas always claims how academics are important, Texas should try to emulate Northwestern that has a 97% GSR. With Texas, it is always do as I say, but not as I do.

Red_Alert and I are in complete agreement and have been posting in that thread, Texas wants concessions from the Big 12.

Texas is trying to get further concessions from the other eight schools(not Oklahoma, Texas actually gives blowjobs to Oklahoma after the September 2011 by Oklahoma to leave the Big 12).

In 2011, the LHN had one Texas football game.
In 2012, the LHN had two Texas football games.
In 2013, the LHN had three Texas football games.

Texas wants four or more games in 2014 and this is how Texas negotiates.

I concur with my brethren. No qualms with Texas, it would be a good addition (so would GT).

HiB10 makes some excellent points.

0% chance of Texas ever leaving for another league. They'll be independent before they join another conference if the Big XII collapsed.

Texas is no more than a bitch wife who uses instability of the family as a weapon to get what she wants.

Thus Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, and Missouri having enough of her bullshit methodology and telling her to fuck off. "See ya!!!!! It may be tough starting over, but in the long run we'll be better off."

Texas is reduced to adopting homeless (or soon to be) programs to suck on her tits. There are no major programs willing to join her family and put up with the fat loud-mouthed bitch. Outside of Oklahoma (maybe Kansas BB), her children have no choice but to stay with her, do things her way, accept the crumbs, or starve. She's got them right where she wants them and she always gets the last piece of pizza.

Yep.

She is in the process of doing that right now imo. She needs to milk as much wealth as she can out of her family members first, she needs to get more obese, then she'll leave them stranded and go independent. I give it 10 years max.

Don't think Texas would give up its own Longhorn Network (which I believe they would have to do in order to join the B1G). So, the idea is moot. Were they to forgo their own network, I would hope the powers that be in the B1G would be smart enough to go after Oklahoma & Texas instead of GT (no offense to GT fans).

I'd be fine with it. But like others have said...not going to happen for money reasons alone and LHN/ESPN.
