The type of offense Auburn was running was not a quick drop and sling offense.........they looked to pick up bigger chunks down field. Thus the higher average on yards per catch.

There are so many OC's out there who need to understand that unless you are running the same offense as someone else, you can't call it someone else's offense......

So many OC's out there need to quit trying to model themselves after someone else, and find their own success.

The true spread offense was happening between 2006-2008..........and began to fade away after those years when teams learned how to shut it down.

The problem is the "analysts" go and name all these offenses and then every one simply blindly follows it........

I like to look at different offenses and see how I see things differently personally.......and if 2 offenses don't look exactly alike, then they can't be called the same thing.

Two teams can't run the "spread" and one team ends up with a completely balanced attack while the other ends up with a completely lopsided one.........it's just common sense.
