Yes my point is that Nebraska has been inconsistent from 40-49 yds.

The point was aimed more at a potential need to win a close game than seeking an explanation as to 'why' they are inconsistent. At least to me it was. A loss is a loss. A year from now nobody will remember it was due to a freshman kicker.

I didn't mention that they are 0-1 from 50+ because I found it to be superfluous, but 3 of 7 is the number from 40+.

You just seemed confused as to what being a freshman had to do with what you were saying. You're right...it has nothing to do with the need to win a close game. You hadn't brought that up yet though when I said he was a freshman. I think I answered the question too quickly

Like you pointed out. We've been accustomed to FG's being something we could rely on for the most part.

It's another phase of the game is all.

How do you feel about needing to hit a 46 yarder to win in Madison this Saturday?

I give Drew a pass in the Purdue game on that 46 yarder. It was WINDY, as we all know from Tommy Armstrong's inability to throw.

The ball will be cold Saturday, so beyond 40 Nebraska either punts or goes for it. Bondi is healed though, maybe let Bondi kick it. You don't need to kick with your collarbone, just maintain balance with your arms.
