Yankees are right behind the O's. I hate to say it, but they got some Momentum on their side right now.

It'll probably be Red Sox, A's..with the Rays winning the Division. Yanks could throw a wrench into. Orioles the same..if they can somehow get out of funk and get hot.

As a sox fan.. It's all gravy for here on out.. The have played over thier head all season.. They have built on last year.. Still have a lot of prospects in place ..I had them 3rd maybe 4th in the division to start the season..

Only reason I give them a punchers chance is because of that. Cool Standing has their Odds to make the playoffs at 11%

I think they overachieved in the first 3-4 months last year, but after the ASB, they were playing good baseball. They were 45-40 with a -36 run differential in the first half, but they were 48-29 and outscored their opponents by 43 runs in the 2nd half. The offense was much better in the 2nd half.

Yup. They got Lucky until August. When they basically turned over the Rotation and the Offense started to get on roll.

I had them battling for 4th, but I thought they'd be considerably better than last year. They've been getting good production from most of their hitters.

Yanks were something like 6% a little more than a week ago.

So they're climbing, but they're going to have to continue at their current pace to really make up some ground- they've got the right people on their schedule to do that, or to fall completely out.

I'll take it. Important games at the end of August, beginning of September. Didn't look like that would be the case a short time ago.
