Marty Hurney say he is comfortable here, knows alot of people from Carolina are here. (Glad my buddy hired me)

Listening to MH does not instill confidence at all.

It's right up my alley too! I do find it interesting that we have polar opposite perspective concerning the QB position yet we each agree with this sentiment. Perhaps it's just a matter of how we see 1st round draft picks.. you believe that trading them is "gutting" the draft and I see it as improving with out "gutting" the draft. Absolutely fascinating and creates the basis for great conversation though.

The most interesting about this presser is how backward it came to be. Because Rivera hired them, it is altogether possible that he has hired the people who will ultimately fire him, although we all hope that it never comes to this.

I don’t understand how you continually argue QB is just another position, and then when Watson is available, you are willing to give up the farm, the land, and the mineral rights.

Perhaps you don't read my comments in context. So, for clarity...

If you're building your offensive line and defensive front then QB IS just another position, however, if you're going to be QB centric then the position takes on a lot more importance.

I am a proponent of building the O-line and defensive front, but I'm not locked into either because in todays NFL both works. The exception in this case (Watson) comes because he is that rare, possibly never before seen, young, talented, ascending QB, who could be attained via trade. Hope that helps!
