Possibly. Possible that Grossman or Pugh gets cut, or Gomes.

That decision will be made then. A lot can happen in 4 weeks. Injuries, maybe Tapp and/or Merling play well enough the team cant cut them.

As for what happens when Jenkins and Jackson come back.

Barnett, Tapp and Jackson will all imo be fighting for one spot. It honestly depends what our health situation is like come that week.

I pretty much agree with the original link. I wonder if the Skins might put Jenkins on PS and hope there are no injuries at OLB until Rob Jackson gets back. It could depend on how much they anticipate using the new wrinkle with 2 LBs with their hand in the dirt and 4 standup LBs for passing downs.

I'm typically not to worried about losing rookies in the transition to PS as it rarely happens. However, Jenkins could be one that might be snatched up. He played quite a bit in preseason and had impact in almost every game. There is much tape out there on him. Not sure we can risk losing him, so he makes the 53.

As for the original link, its pretty much spot on, only potential exception is at RB and S. We may go will Williams at RB due to his ST play. This would mean Royster goes. We also may cut Gomes and only go with 4 safeties. We could use that spot for an extra WR like Lewis or Dawson who have both shown capabilities. Dawson could be on PS, Lewis I don't think is eligible, but not sure. Then, if Tanard is re-instated, we could activate him mid season, there will be injuries to free up space.

Tanard Jackson is eligible for re-instatement today. If he gets reinstated today before 6p it will be interesting to see what the Skins do at the safety spot. I believe he makes the team from just what he did last preseason. Gomes may be the odd man out.

don't see that happening. If reinstated, he will go on PUP for 6 weeks to let them evaluate him and get him into football shape. Just don't see how you can risk cutting a guy that you know to take a chance on a 3 time loser who may or may not still be able to play. Remember, he hasn't played in a regular season game in 2 years.

Probably, but I believe if reinstated he finds his way on the playing field someday as a Redskin. They won't cut him but the pup list is probably a certainty to evaluate as you pointed out.
