I think initially there will be people saying there needs an asterisk, etc. But I think after a few years that will go away and people will think of it as legitimate. I don't think anyone considers the Dodgers 1981 championship as anything other than legit at this point.

I voted for the most optimistic one, 60 games and playoffs. I can't imagine they finish the season then cancel the playoffs.
Also, I don't know if I'm the only one that thinks this, but if they don't play at all this year I could see the interest declining next season. And not because of anything that mlb did or didn't do, just because not having any baseball for that long breaks people of their lifelong habits. I'm not one of these boycott people that will stop watching because of political reasons like name changes or because the players hold out for money or because they make too much money or anything like that. But when you don't have something like pro sports for that long you start replacing it with other things. And baseball has become kind of a boomer sport anyway.
I guess we'll see what happens.

They just announced the schedule. First games are only 2 1/2 weeks away. Assuming they are asymptomatic, the players that are testing positive now may have an advantage.

If that is true hopefully they can get the season finished before all of that gets too bad.

Less than 2 weeks away. This thing might actually happen. But this thought just came to me. Since we're already going off the reservation with the DH rule and the guy starting on 2nd base in extra innings why not just do all double headers with each game being 7 innings. Expand the rosters to 40 (but only a limited number active for each game). With all of the minors cancelled for the season there should be plenty of available players. Make this season a way for teams to bond with the younger players and see who has the best overall organization.
