A tank lasts about 4-6 weeks for me. I have a second tank as backup. I grill about 3-4 times a week, mostly just for myself, but occasionally one of my female roommates will eat something off the grill.

I'll post some pics as it goes...the main patio is getting a roof 1st, and I goofed with the framer and need to add another 1 freakin yd of concrete.

I wanted to make the grillin pad bigger anyway so we'll make it 3 yds...bad job by the concrete guy needing a second pour...me!

When you're finished cook out at your house correct?

They conned me is what you're telling me? lol

Not too bad. It's not something most people are comfortable doing and $45 is not a bad price.

I would get $40(minimum service call price) to convert peoples grills back in the 90's. Go out, drill the hole in about 2 minutes, spend 10 minutes "tinkering" with their grill to make it look like they somewhat got their money's worth. Maybe knock a spider or 2 out of the lines if needed.

If I had to guess I'd say that would run near $80 these days.

But save yourself some money in the future for sure. At worse you'll have to buy the right drill bit size.

One tank usually lasts me about 2 months. And that's grilling 3-4 times per week, not daily.

no i just meant i can grill directly on half the grill...

Spread it out and let the high heat love them tender.

Only time I turn off a burner is if I'm doing indirect heat and then I'm going for temperature control at that point like an oven.

Obviously it matters how often you use it and how much time you give your grill to preheat. I'd say if you use your grill often it will last you about 45 days.

Too often, I fixed that problem with this new home...I ran a gas line outside and bought a natural gas conversion kit for my grill...summer project is building an outdoor kitchen with 2 grills, a charcoal and gas.

Sweet. Post pics when it's done.
