I would say no.

Their run differential was over 100 behind both teams.

And while they've gotten better, idk if it's enough when I'm not sure Boston or NY are that much worse.

The funny thing is how much went wrong for boston, and they still won 108 games.

Yeah things did but there offense played so well last season, can't expect that this year again. The Rays might now pass the Red Sox or Yankees but I at least expect them to be even closer than they were last season

It could easily be 97, 95, and 93 wins for those 3 teams.

Things went well for like the top 4. You could argue every other position besides those and 1b underachieved...and by a lot at c, 2b and 3b

I don't think the Red Sox will ever get production out of the catchers position anymore. As long as they provide solid defense that's fine with me.

i think they should just say F it and get Grandal.

That's basically a 5 win improvement from the catching situation last year.

Grandal is a horrible defensive catcher though. Cost the Dodgers big time in the post season
