We would be better on D and he is not needed on the O where having Durant is literally the closest thing today we could have as having an LBJ clone running pick and rolls and fast breaks with himself. Shit would be sick.

Also both of them can space the floor for each other's drives...I seriously need to stop thinking about this, it is too much!!!

I mean plus you could play that 1st lineup like you said, who guards everyone? The opposing teams PG on Sefalosha, then what the opposing teams SG on Lebron or Durant?

I would play an aggressive zone. We would have very good help D and recovery with that much skill on D.


Basic Man though:

1. Sefolosha is a great on ball defender so we might not even put LBJ on Parker/Rose types in crunch time
2. and 3. LBJ and Durant would be just fine here covering whoever they are closest too and sticking to them.
4. Ibaka is a great shot blocker needs to be down low imo, but for mismatches we can easily interchange Durant/LBJ for who mathces up best
5. Perkins obviously pretty simple


2nd line up

Pretty much the same but move LBJ and Durant to the 3 & 4 slots and Westbrook to the 2 or 1 on D.



I like the first much better because I think zone is less taxing and we are also bigger with out giving up quickness.

You guys can argue ifs about championships all you want but it doesn't matter. What does matter is Houston's GM and Front Office pretty much laid the blueprint for how most teams should operate to field a contender. And that's all you can ask for from a front office. It's really hard to make it to the Finals, much less win it. Just look at all the major injuries this year. All you can do is give yourself a shot. Houston realized it was going nowhere stuck in NBA mediocrity (7th to 9th in conference every year). Just good enough to make the playoffs but never contend. However they weren't shitty enough to tank and get a superstar draft pick. So they evaluated their resources, acquired as many assets as possible, and wisely picked their spots taking advantage of other teams' potential problems.

I agree, but one should not be shunned for tanking as long as it can not be proven. It is a viable strategy.
