How clean are/were the Huskers?

With all the news anymore about agents and the huge problem they have been (like it was any secret) in the NCAA, I was just curious as to what you guys think about the Nebraska program and it's ability to stay out of the news regarding this situation.

So far, so good when it comes to keeping our name clean. But I will admit, as much of a Nebraska fan as I am, and as much of a believer I am in Coach Osborne, I'm still a little skeptical things were completely on the up-and-up with the unreal run we had in the 90's. Not saying Coach Osborne or his staff were dirty, because I don't think that was the case. But do any of you think agents and or boosters didn't exactly "play by the rules" when it came to players of the past?

That said........ There was a lot of juicing going on late 80's through the 90's....... now there's other things of that nature......



I doubt if even BYU is a clean program if anyone ever went over it with a fine tooth comb.......


That's why I'm against all these sanctions on USC..........


Bush did nothing that A LOT of college stars do........

The difference is....... Bush didn't pay back the money that he "borrowed" from those agents- so the story "leaked"

With the characters NU had running it's program from 2004 -2007 nothing at all would suprise me.

Anything outside of those years I don't think the program would be considered dirty. It would be more of that catch all "Lack of Institutional Control" montra the NCAA likes to use for a specific individual doing things outside of the program's knowledge. ie..I don't think it would go as far as the John Blake/N.Carolina issues.

I remember a few Nebraska football players rollin around in decked out rides during the shit era..........maybe they had really rich families, but I doubt it

I agree with you. The NCAA has never provided evidence the USC program had any knowledge of what Bush was doing. Yet it was his actions that gave them the "Lack of Institutional Control" to punish the program.

Same goes with OU in the car dealership situation. You can't watch these kids 24/7.

No program in major college football is "clean"...... If you really think Nebraska has been clean...... you are in fantasy land.....
