Interesting, Dave Shultz in his book said one of the guys he didn't like to fight was Jim Schoenfeld. He said the guy didn't fight often because most players didn't want to take him on.

He proved that in a game against the Bruins when he had three fights and won them all early in his career.

Sorry but Howe and Gillies weren't goons. Howe was a tough SOB and Gillies was the best fighter i ever saw, but in no way they were goons.

Another interesting stat. Rob Ray fought Tie Domi 13 or 14 times and won most of them. There is a clip on YouTube I will try and find to post.
