I saw this one coming, the Avalanche have owned us ever since Game 6 of the 01 finals this will be a 7-1ish final. What we have to remember is that we're not a power anymore so stop expecting us to play as good as we always did. We're a mediocre team who at best is a 5-6 seed in the playoffs and would have to get Boston hot to think about contending. At least we aren't 6-17 like we were at tis time last year.

This. I understand that even as a pro athlete competing at the highest level you can sometimes lose your focus. But really? How many "wake up calls" do they need?

im not so sure that the team is as bad as they have been playing. i mean you have a defense first unit and you have parise and kovalchuk...elias looks a few years younger and henrquie has filled the gap of zajac with flying colors.


i just dont understand why kovalchuk or parise cant score. yet i bet if they both left here they would have no problem putting up 50g 100pt years. why is it that in jersey we cant have that?

When I said wake up call here is what I meant. It's different losing by a goal or 2, losing a lead, etc compared to getting blown out like that. I hope each player and coach was embarrassed.

We will see what type of team this is tonight. If they come out flat its bad...heck even if they win 2-1 bad...i know the wild are good but on paper this team is good too. Every game that goes by more im fine with trading Parise
