They gave up 7 followed by 6 in consecutive extra innings on consecutive days... someone needs to get Elias Sports Bureau on just how unique of a set of outcomes that was.

No. That isn't the problem. Their bullpen just really sucks. And they had to rely on the same arms too often. Like Legumina - if you look at his game log, he had a pretty good run up until he hit the wall in Houston: Casey Legumina (P) Game Logs - Seattle Mariners. Speier is doing really well too but need to be careful with him. He threw 31 pitches his last time out. That's too many. Vargas is a meltdown waiting to happen. His low ERA is not in sync with his high WHIP and BAA. His ERA is going to blow up. Barzardo and Snider are just mediocre and inconsistent. On the days of close games when Speiers and Brash are unavailable, Bazardo and Snider are going to kill us.
IMO the problem with getting Moore playing time is where though. He has proven he cannot be a starter. He should be playing in every game but starting him (unless a guy needs a rest) isn’t what his strength is. He is fine as a late inning pinch hitter, a platoon 1B/RF, a defensive replacement for Randy or a late inning pinch runner.
