Anyone remember when all Kramer could do was talk about how much Bailey and Bruce sucked? At least he was right about one person, Drew Stubbs sucked.

To be fair, Homer will probably follow this up with an 8 run game.

Bailey and Bruce are maddening..... So much talent and so much inconsistency.

Bailey has a 3.57 ERA so it's not like he is a bad pitcher. I think people rip on him a little hard. If was on a team with a consistent offense he'd probably be closer to 7-3 or 7-4 than 5-6. Bruce is what he is and always will be, a streaky hitter who might hit .350 for a month with 14 homers and 35 RBI's or .150 for a month with 3 HR's and 10 RBIs.

He has only given up over 4 runs 3 times this year. While giving up 3 or less 10 times and given up 4 runs 3 times. I'll take that every day of the week from my #3 guy.

The issue with Bailey is that he isn't supposed to be a #3 guy. He was a top 10 draft pick 9 years ago - He has all the physical skills to be a dominant starter in the league and he's never been better than a #3 guy. He was drafted to be an ace -- Whether that's fair or not, is another question, but that's the perception.

I agree that he's only had 2 really bad outings and otherwise has had a nice season -- It's his potential and his promise that makes people hold him to a higher standard.

Still, that is as good as a lot of aces out there. Compare his stats to Verlander. They are pretty similar this year. Bailey also plays in a great hitters park. I trust him out there probably more than Latos.

Latos is a tough call.... I trust him through 5 and then I start biting my nails.

It's funny because all of our starters are good and all of our starters scare me!

Losing Cueto will either be great or an absolute disaster right now. If Cingrani can pitch like he did early in the year maybe the Reds will be smart enough to keep him and trade away one of the pitchers they have for a bat. Teams need pitching. Can probably get something decent for a guy like Arroyo.

Anyone remember when you threw a fit when people posted not Bengal's related topics here?

Bailey sucked for years. He's only been good for about 3/4 of a season now. Maybe he's finally grown up, but seeing as how he's treating the folks at WLW I doubt it.
