He has only given up over 4 runs 3 times this year. While giving up 3 or less 10 times and given up 4 runs 3 times. I'll take that every day of the week from my #3 guy.
The issue with Bailey is that he isn't supposed to be a #3 guy. He was a top 10 draft pick 9 years ago - He has all the physical skills to be a dominant starter in the league and he's never been better than a #3 guy. He was drafted to be an ace -- Whether that's fair or not, is another question, but that's the perception.
I agree that he's only had 2 really bad outings and otherwise has had a nice season -- It's his potential and his promise that makes people hold him to a higher standard.
Latos is a tough call.... I trust him through 5 and then I start biting my nails.
It's funny because all of our starters are good and all of our starters scare me!
Anyone remember when all Kramer could do was talk about how much Bailey and Bruce sucked? At least he was right about one person, Drew Stubbs sucked.
