with the loss to the Broncos and the terrible loss to the Eagles does anyone see the Patriots getting home field advantage?

Right now I don't. I really can't see the Patriots running the table the rest of the way... Especially will be very difficult if the Broncos beat the Bengals. If that happens then is there any chance the Pats get it? I would think they would NOT be able to get it in that case because the Broncos would own the tie breaker.

Honestly I don't know what to expect moving forward for any of the 3 teams. Cincinnati could lose 2 very easily to close out the season with a very hot Steelers team coming to town and a very banged up secondary then having to go to Denver and play in a very hostile environment. At the same time I could see them with their depth go in and win both of those games.

For the Patriots they honestly have the easiest remaining schedule of the 3 but 3 of the 4 games are on the road and with a banged up team that looks like it could be banged up for another week or two we could see another bad loss in that time.

For the Broncos they have 3 of the games at home to make life a bit easier but Pittsburgh on the road and Cincinnati at home are 2 games I have no confidence that the Broncos are for sure going to win.

All that to say I wouldn't give up hope on getting home field just quite yet. Too much football left to really be locking any team into any spot. Heck I remember when the Broncos lost to NE in 2013 and pretty much every Bronco fan figured NE had the #1 seed wrapped up. A close loss to Miami late in the season though helped the Broncos be able to hold on. Could see a similar situation in reverse.

well that's what we thought about the Eagles and look how that turned out :(. Granted it was basically because special teams shat the bed but I still truly believe BB and company were overlooking the Eagles.

This pretty much is a crap shoot you are right because all 3 could win them all or lose them all as well. The Steelers are peeking at the right time, ala the Giants of 2011

Right now with Osweiler as the QB the Broncos seem like a completely different team, a possesed team and that does not bode well for the rest of their opponents imo.

I'm just nervous because the remaining schedule the patriots have always in a way screw them over.

I'm sure we BOTH be drinking heavily in the coming weeks!

That we will. Hoping for the best but always expecting the worst it seems like. Heck this past week against the Chargers I had the fear that we would do what the Eagles did to you guys and just overlook them. No easy wins at this time of the year.

Yeah maybe I am a little cynical lately but with the Patriots performances as of late it's hard not to be. I thought the Chargers would have made a game of it, ultimately not winning but still at least but a scare into the Broncos.

Honestly watching the game it looked like the Chargers completely have given up. They look so beaten down. I honestly think the Broncos just played a bit of mercy by just deciding to run almost every single play in the 2nd half as they knew the Chargers offense wasn't going to put up 14 points to beat them so why not just shorten the game and get the heck out of town.

I thought the Eagles would do the same as they looked like a team that had quit on Chip and I do think some of them have. My guess is the Patriots bounce back though. I was reading something earlier about how since 2001 when the Patriots have lost 2 in a row that 3rd team takes the brunt of their anger. I think they have only lost 3 games in a row once in the past 15 years and that was 2002 if I remember right.

Well it's not like they have a good record, lol but yeah it does look like they have packed it in.

well, no one thought the Patriots would lose 2 in a row so right now 3 is a possibility. JJ Watt is salivating right now thinking about beating the terrible OL that is the New England Patriots.

That is the one thing that does have me questioning just a bit on how the Patriots will do this week. The Texans have shown to be a very good defense and Watt is playing out of his mind. Still I just don't see how Houston can muster up enough offense. I see your defense holding them to 14 points or less. I don't see the big Special Teams mistakes either. Philly is about the only team in the league that could do that in one game with special teams.

Eagles "offense" didn't either... ST did. lol The Texans imo are the team that will tackle the crap out of Brady and have an excellent shot at intercepting him because we know Brady will be out throwing in vengeance.

Not to worry, at 10-2 I'm still dancing in the sheets.

Based on strength of schedule, I still think the Patriots control home field. The Bengals and Broncos have a much tougher road to get there. Unfortunately for me, I think the AFCCG ends up in Foxboro......again.

Hope you are right but SOS this year means nothing imo and the Patriots in two games have shown utter idioteness so anything is possible.

Don't believe the loss to Eagles was so terrible, more like a wake-up call to stop with the cute stuff and take care of every aspect of the game, now more than ever. Gronk reported to practice today wearing a brace - hopefully they will not play him against the Texans and let him fully recover. HFA is an uphill climb at this point, I don't believe any of the four remaining games is gonna be easy task.

Cincinnati has Pittsburgh (who they are losing to so far today) and Denver who they must beat to hold onto home field and a Bye.

Denver has Cincinnati and Pittsburgh to play before they can claim home field.

If Cincy loses to Pittsburgh today, they will be tough to beat from here on out.

No one has a cake walk to home field advantage. Wouldn't want to play Pittsburgh in the Week 1 Wild Card game.

And as of now the Steelers are still behind KC and Jets for final spot.

The Raiders are giving Osweiler and the Broncos absolute fits. Broncos scored 12 points on FGs in the first half and had 288 yards of offense. In the second half the Raiders have scored a TD and a safety and have the ball and the score is 12-9. The Raiders have sacked Osweiler twice, once a strip sack in the end zone and thay almost got the ball but had to settle for a safety.

Oakland just recovered a fumble on the 11. 2nd and 15 and Talib got away with a facemask and of course, no call.
NFL does not want Oakland to win this game because New England would be in the Drivers seat again.

TOUCHDOWN...OAKLAND RAIDERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another stupid play call......instead of kicking the extra point, they went for 2 and missed 15-12 Oakland.

I love Sunday Ticket

Kalil Mack sacks Osweiler 5 times and Oakland beats Denver 15-12.

Home Field Advantage is now back in Foxboro.
