Ah, well. 5-0, Sox win.

Rest up, O's. Go do your thing tomorrow, rest, relax, regroup. We're going to be facing West Coast teams for most of the next month. Maybe some unfamiliar faces will do the trick.

I try not to think about future games all that much. So I can't really make
any predictions now, other than we'll probably win the games Lester pitches
whoever the opponent happens to be.

When we're not facing the opposition's ace we've got a good shot against any team
now that Not-My-Valentine's been shown the door. That stiff must be great at brown-nosing
front office types, because he's crap at everything actually job-related. With the possible exception
of positioning fielders.

Red Sox need him to perform up to his potential for the rest of the season. Not a banner season for him, but I was under no illusion that he was washed up.

How do you feel about the Sox upcoming schedule? Price, Iwakuma, Hernandez, Corbin. What record would you be satisfied with for their home games this week?
I try not to think all that much about upcoming schedules.

Any game Lester pitches we should win whoever the opposing team is.
When we're up against the opposing team's ace and someone other than
Lester, or the currently DL'ed Clay Buchholz is starting for us it gets iffy.

Whoever we're playing we score against bullpens more often than starters. Which
can make the early innings exasperating. But also makes falling behind early easier to
cope with. CGs are going to be few and far between against our roster.

The fact that Lackey has given them something this season hasn't hurt. I expected a bounce-back season of sorts for the Sox this season. Last season was a complete disaster for them.

got limited to 5 singles...where has the power gone...this is the only line-up that can make dempster and lester look like legit pitchers anymore...why? because we refuse to make a pitcher work to get us out...lester thru 20 pitches the first inning but ended the 5th with 58 pitches...

machado cant stop swinging before he gets 1 strike on him...why is this line-up scared of hitting with strikes?...weiters shoulda been walked but struckout on a pitch by his eyes 6' 6" off the ground

"Batting from the third spot in the order, Davis went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. He has struck out at least once in 22 consecutive games, one more game than the previous Orioles record, set by Mark Reynolds."- quoted from espn game recap...incredible

I saw we had 1 (1-2-3) inning today...I dont remember seeing one yesterday...WHY IS IT THESE FOOLS CANNOT RETIRE OTHER TEAMS IN ORDER BUT OUR LINE-UP GOES IN ORDER RELATIVELY CONSISTENTLY EXCEPT FOR 3-4 INNINGS A GAME

Pathetic loss, looks like they needed this day off
Losing to Jon Lester is anything but pathetic.

BEATING him is a major accomplishment at home or on the road.

Losing to Aceves , on the other hand...
