The Lakers lead the Spurs at the half while the Heat lead the Knicks, and here are the hi lites from those games ........ 10 minutes later....There are 10 other games in the NHL tonight tune in to SportsCenter to see the scores.

Now back to the hockey game and it is 2-1 now because we missed the first three minutes of the period. Oh, The Knicks now lead the Heat by two points, now lets break for a commercial.

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah.........Two more MLB players were found to use performing enhancing drugs, tune into SportsCenter after this um...oh yeah hockey game and we will give you the details after the NBA slam dunk contest.

My ESPN viewing now consists of Monday Night Football and if the Red Sox are on Sunday Night Baseball (muted) I might catch a few innings.

Hearing that ESPN is still very much at the table as part of the lucrative TV deal being hammered out by COO John Collins for the NHL. ESPN isn’t scared of the price tag and loves the access the league gives, the young stars in the game and the clean-cut nature of its players. The decision is to be made by May and it will be a massive pay day for the owners.

Oh bullshit, if that was the case they wouldnt just mention hockey whenever anyone does anything stupid.

I hope it goes back on espn, but Versus also does some telecasts. ESPN would be good to reign in some more casual fans, and ESPN will also be more motivated to put the NHL on SportsCenter. Also, ESPN always had some great announcers, and some decent analysts. Hopefully they can work out a deal for it to be on both.

If ESPN wants hockey because it is losing other sports, it will hide hockey when those other sports come back. VS does a fine job and screw getting new fans. tickets are too expensive already.
