Let's hope Derek Dorsett gets through tonight's game without biting anyone. What a fucking dumbass.

Umberger is up to 8 games without a point this year. He is now drawing the ire of most of the fanbase (Despite Bobrovsky giving up soft goals early every game).

Coach Richards decided that in light of everything that they have NOT been doing well, the best course of action was to not practice again yesterday. They are home, relatively unhurt, and he decides to give them a day off again. This now the fourth time they have not had a mandatory practice this season. Way to kill the country club, Todd.

At least there were 16 players who stayed at the arena for an optional skate later in the day, but without a coach there to help them drill on what they need to work on...

You know, I am not sure anyone ever questioned the emotional engagement of a team coached by Scotty Bowman. Or Mike Keenan. Or Badger Bob. Or Herbie.

And what is something those coaches never did?

GIVE THEIR PLAYERS A DAY OFF WHEN THEY ARE LOSING.

The way the the Wings played from the 2nd period on, should call for a Quanico-type practice on their day off tomorrow; and, if it were up to me, it would encompass the "entire" day. There needs to be a thing called "getting their attention permanently" to send a message that this type of game isn't going to be tolerated ever, where a verbal tirade would be easily forgotten, but the soreness that lingers for days will be remembered for quite a long time.
