Hill was a longshot to make the roster so this wasn't a surprising move. But it does leave Washington with only 89 players on its roster, so the Redskins will look to add another player. Tight end and outside linebacker remain areas the Redskins would like to bolster, but it's uncertain if the newcomer will play either spot or if they would add another running back.
The Redskins still have a number of backs behind starter Alfred Morris, including Matt Jones, Silas Redd, Chris Thompson and Trey Williams, an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M.
Washington reports to training camp in Richmond on Wednesday and begins practice July 30.
not a big deal here but its looks like we have 5 rbs who all have a great shot to make the team
