Ok this is getting pretty good here. Jerrys grandson - John Steven Jones will be playing in his second consecutive State Championship . On the season - 4300 yrds passing , 57 TDs. I have looked at his recruitment. He is supposedly a 2 Star Qb. He has received an offer from Arkansas. I have also seen where Vandy and Texas Tech are interested.

He is listed as a 2-3 star which is pretty good. Stephen is a big guy, it seems anyway. I figured John Stephen would be bigger. Cool number he wears though. Wonder who his idol is ? Brees? Stafford? I'm betting Romo, but Stafford did go to that school I think

It's hard for me to pull for Highland Park with their advantage recruiting the metroplex and serving up scholarships to players who would never be able to afford the school while the other schools only have kids that live in their school district.

Kinda like the Allen Eagles, huge numbers and refuse to build another high school even with Allen being one of the fastest growing areas in Dallas county the past decade. Last spring over 850 kids went out for the baseball team. They cut 500 kids day one after fielding 3 ground balls from 3rd and throwing across the diamond.

That is crazy. We go up to 6 A in football here in Tennessee. Our high school is 5A in football. All other sports go up to 3A. We have an enrollment of about 1800, grades 9-12. That is considered big here.

I think they had 13 new players try out in the summer for this yrs team.
