These last 3 days have been flooded with close games and big comebacks but holy hell is it mostly do to bad basketball.

I'd venture to guess I've witnessed at least 10 scoreless droughts of 7 minutes or more by a team.

Wyoming just went 12:10 without scoring and only trail by 2 lol

This is without a doubt the single worst season of college basketball I've ever seen. I was excited for the start of this season and then basically quit watching because it was so bad. I really don't expect to see much out of the tournament this year. The top 4 teams will probably reach the final 4.. and mostly because there just isn't any competition out there.

Wyoming & SDSU are both teams that focus on defense-first to be fair. But ya, their offenses are both pretty atrocious. SDSU will go on a quick run or streak and look decent, then go 5 minutes without scoring. They are a weird team.

Weird statement since there hasn't been a clear 4 best teams all season. Hell 7 teams have been battling for a 1 seed for the past month.

it is the most entertaining notre dame team I can remember but this is by far the worst season I can remember in college bball overall. if teams don't go in long scoring droughts during a game it is surprising. free throw shooting gets worse every season. the micro-managing by coaches makes watching games unbearable. we need rule changes badly in the offseason

stoney brook-Albany was 6-2 with 8 minutes left until halftime

this does seem to be an epidemic. Some coaches especially.

It's been that way for years though, not just the last few days. The college game is just ugly and sloppy as hell. They try to blame it on one and dones and that's partially true, but that's really just a small reason. Most of it has to do with the fact that they've let it get too physical and that its overcoached. It'd also help out the flow of the game a ton if they'd adopt FIBA or NBA rules and lop off about 2 to 3 timeouts each game.

Were both teams playing good defense? Sometimes that might cause scoring droughts. However, it could just be shlttty playing

no excuse for 7 minute droughts no matter how good the defense is. the offense is always at an advantage

I don't really care if the basketball is bad so long as it's a competitive game.

If I wanted the highest quality basketball, I'd watch the Hawks versus the Cavs regular season game instead of a 14 seed trying to knock off a 3 seed.

For my money, this has been a great year. Someone used Stoney brook and Albany as an example of boring play. Not real crazy about using those teams as an example to disparage the great play; especially from the top 10 ranked teams. Yesterday's Notre Dame/UNC game was really fun to watch. Yesterday's Notre Dame team gives Kentucky all they want as they drove the lane all day and pitched to ball outside for the 3. That's how to beat Kentucky....just have to make the 3's and yesterday they did.

I watched the Big West final last night between UC Irvine and Hawai'i. There were times that I was literally laughing at what was happening on the court.

Yeah, watched one sequence where there was literally 3 straight turnovers between the teams and 2 of them were basically the result of guys tripping over each other. UC Irvine has a 7'6" 300 lb. kid who can best be described as a project. He looks pretty good when himself all moving in the right direction. The rest of the time, he looks like a baby giraffe learning to walk.

Ive honestly only watched about 4 games this year and they've all been Mizzou.


Like 75% of America is going to pick Kentucky to win it all. Mens basketball has turned into Womens basketball
