Extremely happy with the defense, but like I have been saying for the past 2-3 years, defense no longer wins championships. This offense is a complete joke. You, as a Sooner fan should know defense no longer wins championships. Your offense is the only reason you guys keep winning conference titles and going to major bowl games and is the only reason that prevents OU from having 4-5 loss seasons. Our program is going NOWHERE without a good offense. I don't even care if we have a good defense; give me a bend don't break defense. A damn good offense and bend don't break defense can win NC's or at least compete for them every year.

Tim Beck should have been fired or demoted immediately after the Okie st game. The fact that Herman is going to stay loyal to this non innovative motherfucker pisses me off. I don't give a shit about the injuries; don't give me that excuse. Injuries happen to the majority of teams in the country. I believe Gundy has lost 4 starters on the OL this season alone and look where the Pokes are at. The play calling on offense is just horrid. Even former UT football players who play/played in the NFL are calling out Tim Beck and Tom Herman for the shitty play calling on offense. Fucking Tom Herman was asked about the loss and his team being 6-6 after the TTECH game and he flat out said, "I don't have a good answer for you" in regards to why this team is so fucking inconsistent on offense. I have an answer you arrogant fucking prick, YOUR FUCKING SHITTY OC IS THE REASON THIS TEAM IS SITTING AT 6-6 AND STARING AT ITS 4TH LOSING SEASON IN A ROW. FIRE HIS ASS.

If Herman refuses to fire Beck and this team suffers its 5th losing season in a row next year, which is a very strong possibility then fuck him and fire his ass and hire Art Briles and I'M DEAD FUCKING SERIOUS ABOUT THAT HIRE........There is talent on this offense. there is absolutely no fucking excuse whatsoever why this offense should suck this bad. NONE!!!! Tim Beck is a shitty coach and has no business being the OC at Texas. Fuck that guy......

This is what's hilarious about Beck being the scapegoat. It's Herman's offense. He isn't a CEO coach, he's an X and O coach. So we either believe he sucks or the players suck/injuries crippled us. I think he's got enough track record to know what the answer is. I don't believe Beck is a good coach at all, but it's still a stupid excuse to think firing him cures our issues.

Kyler Murray should be an OU legend before he ever is named a starter. He fucked over two Texas programs in one year. Told Charlie he was coming so we didn't close on any QB's, went to A&M after all, and ditched them after Allen decided to transfer because Murray was the guy going forward.

Are you referring to basically the same OL that paved the way for a 2000 yd rusher the previous year? Yes, the injuries sucked, but the back ups don't automatically forget how to block and play football. The OC is the problem, not the OL.....

Wasn't the same line. Vahe was benched in 2016, started every game. Perkins was 2nd in snaps. I think he is on a practice squad somewhere. Williams was essentially gone most of the year. 1 guy we all overlook is Blueitt. That guy killed people at TE/HB. Not to mention NFL RB can make an OL look a lot better.

We haven't had a good offense since 2012 which is also the last time we had a competent QB (David Ash pre-concussions).

The worst defense we have fielded (2012 under Diaz) was better from an efficiency standpoint than any offense since our 2009 NCG season outside of that one Harsin offense in 2012.

Lack of QB and OL are the reason for all our problems in my eyes. It's really that simple. I do agree with all of you that even from the beginning Beck and Warehime were the biggest meh hires Herman made. But hell, it's more than that, Wickline couldn't do shit with our OL either.

What I do take hope in is that Todd Orlando put out a championship quality defense this year. It's the best defense we've had since the 2009 Muschamp squad. Problem is the offense was the worst since 2010 and 2014 which were also historically bad.

So maybe Beck needs to go on principle, but I still think Herman is running his offense so it doesn't really matter who we bring in.

Ovetime Loss on the 1 ft line to OkieJR, after a concussed QB lied his way back into the game to throw an INT by faking the concussion protocols.

Both games were basically won. Texas has almost comically bad luck in those games as time expired.
With even average luck, Texas should have won both games....and the team would be looking like a solid success.

There is no way Mack Brown or Charlie Strong would have been even remotely close enough to win those games.
Texas would have been beaten by 35 points each time.

The Defense looked good at times.
That freshman QB looked good at times.
But it never looked good all at the same time that I can remember.

Maybe next year will bring more success when Herman starts getting his players installed.

Yeah the Aggie QBs that transfered out went on to brilliant college careers.
Kenny Hill did ok but nothing to write home about.
Kyle Allen couldn't keep the starting job at Houston.
But Kyler is going to compete for a Hesiman next year?
Yes Sumlin screwed up the QB situation a couple years ago and that is part of the reason he is gone.

Defense was the 1st defense since 2006 not to give up 30 pts in a single game. That is better than looked good at times
