Texas has been “a very young team with potential” for four years now according to these fans. Think about that for a few seconds.
Damn that game pissed me off so much, I bailed on all CFB, even forgot to make my picks! Gog Damn it!!!
Texas gets an F this year- should have one the first game and the last game, and would be 8-4, losing only to top teams. But have to keep in mind the absolute shitshow of no bodies to throw on the OL. Nobody else to put in, dont have anybody else.
Read somewhere, that with these last three coaching changes, Texas has lost like 60 players to attrition. That's Baylor-like attrition...just cant hope to compete with that.
Now the Orangebloods are on the current coach's ass- Yeah, let's fire this one too! Damn fools.
It's true, all of our upperclassmen bail for the most part. They are doing it again this year. Next season should have been one of our most experienced teams in a long time. Nope, not gonna happen. Gonna be playing true freshman out the ass again. It's a never ending cycle.
It's not an excuse for losing, our coaching staffs have played the attrition game, but common sense says you can't win with 60-75 percent of your two deep being underclassmen year after year. Apparently, common sense isn't so common with our coaching staffs.
They just love running off the previous coaches kids to get "their guys" in there. Well guess what fuck heads, us fans are tired of losing while you "build" your program. How about you mix in a Juco or 12 while you play the roster turnover game.
meh, OU is starting 4 frosh with another 6 in the rotation...and a bunch of sophmores in the mix, too.
OU is going to be damn good next year, too.
Herman needs to hit the Juco ranks. He doesn't have time to build with freshman. Our roster is going to be complete shit next year if he doesn't. Charlie's entire 2016 class was full of pussy ass bitches who gave zero fucks about the University of Texas. I've never seen such a highly rated class fall apart this quickly and have nothing to do with injuries or crime. Just, "I quit".

That's called Tennessee'ing.Texas has been “a very young team with potential” for four years now according to these fans. Think about that for a few seconds.
I am not worried about losing all these "GREAT" players and highly talented players to the NFL and graduation.
If they were really all that "GREAT", the team would not have had its worst 4 year run in history.
Herman is recruiting like an actual invested recruiter who understands that CFB is 99.9999% about quality recruiting.
He is not recruiting high school juniors like older Mack Brown. Texas often ended up with guys who were ahead of the pack as juniors but never developed as high school seniors. The services are reluctant to lower their star ratings. Older Mack never got the truly rising seniors. Old age made him lazier and it cost him.
He is not recruiting in the WTF way of Strong. Strong waited until the last possible day and tried to grab all the highest rated recruits that were completely undecided. It led to a cohesion issue with needless overlap in the same positions...while leaving other positions empty.
No matter how 2017 was coached with the Xs and OS, there is no question Herman is the best recruiter we have seen since the early 2000s.
ONeal is going to Clemson.......you heard it here first

JUCO thing is actually reassuring. Texas has had an OL issue since before 2010. They need to get some JUCOs in and start redshirting and stop relying on youngsters to fill the gaps. It is never good when you have to go the JUCO route, but at least they are doing what is necessary. Frankly, it a step that should have been taken years agoAre you kidding? Mack Brown was a GREAT recruiter. He had huge amounts of talent on his squads. The problem was the assistant coaches were gobbling up large amounts of talent and then crapped too many ugly losses. Tom Herman has had ONE so-so recruiting class. Now he's going to have to dip into the JUCO ranks to have any hope of having a respectable team next season. It's still too early to say if Herman is the answer at UT whether the subject is recruiting or coaching. (For the record, I do believe in his potential at UT but that certainly isn't based on what he's done so far).
Those early Kstate Snyder teams were filled with Juco's and he did great.
But that is when Oklahoma and Texas were way down, so there's that.
Hopefully Herman keeps only recruiting high school seniors like you say because Lincoln is busy poaching some of the top 2019 and 2020 Texas kids as we speak already.

Herman hasn't really had a recruiting class to come in yet. This will realistically be his first, and it's currently ranked #2 in the nation.
He's proving so far to be a great recruiter.......but he's not landing kids in the areas we need right now. He's about to land arguably the #1 DB class in the nation.......but we need that kind of haul on the lines, obviously.
This might be the best DB class out of Texas in over a decade and OU has pretty much shit the bed. That was Sumlins biggest downfall, he loaded up on positions and didn't balance out, his recruiting.
