Hey guys and gals,
Regardless of the outcome, I am going to be taking a short hiatus from SportsHoopla after the Boise State game is over. I have a professional opportunity presenting itself to me and have to spend a month or two really preparing for the process and going through a few interview sessions and the such.
This is truly a dream opportunity for me, and should I get it, it opens up a lot of doors for me down the line. The position is uber competitive (like 1/100 applicants) but I have built up a damn good application package, publication record and curriculum vitae, so I feel as competitive as anyone and have confidence going in.
I will still stop in now and again to vote on Top 25s and what not but will be much more scarce here. I hope to be back more frequently in the middle to end of October. I will have to take another brief hiatus in the Spring, if things go well, but I will cross that bridge when it gets there.
Anyhow, just wanted to let people know that it is not some personal crisis or something, in fact it is a very good thing, potentially. I will not know for a while, and the interview/selection process is very hush hush, but should I get in, I will certainly let people know. In addition, if I do get in, my anonymity will be pretty much shot, ha ha, not that I really mind with this crowd.
