Considering in the middle of January there were only 8 teams left that had openings for the 2013 season and they have all been filled, with a bunch of FCS schools of course, this is an extenuating circumstance for Baylor. SMU bitched out to play Montana St because they were afraid of their tough schedule. What a bunch of punk ass bitches!!!!! Baylor literally had no choice but to go FCS. Any other circumstance the schools always have a choice.

Ok, of the 8 teams that still had an opening in mid January, 5 of them filled it with FCS teams.

Baylor could have possibly asked Army to schedule a 13th game since Army plays in Hawaii next season but they don't have any common off days.

And those 3 teams that actually scheduled a 1A team, they only did it because they each already had a 1AA team on the schedule which means the needed a game to be able to count towards their bowl eligibility record. Otherwise they certainly would have filled it with 1AA teams.

None of the 5 teams that filled their schedule had a 1AA team on their schedule yet.
