It is used as a common diagnosis of r*pe victims all the time. Even those who have never put on a uniform. If she is legit her battles may not have been armed combat, but could still leave severe problems and emotional scaring.

Wallace et al, I'm not going to judge whether or not she is telling any level of truth, but she has talked of her PTSD/MST in the past. This isn't something out of the blue.

You won't see me question her claimed service or stated disorders from it. It's not my place to judge or challenge her claims.

You will, however, see me still holding her actual words and deeds up here up to the light and hold her accountable for them. I don't care if you have cancer in real life or some other condition, at the end of the day we are all nothing more than the words we project up here and it is those we should be treated based on.

Leave the stuff about her personal life alone. But hammer the shit out of her rhetoric, arrogance, and condescending bullshit as hard as you like.

Mostly agree. I believe she is FOS about a lot of things, and I'm almost certain this this is included. That said, on the remote chance she is telling the truth about her history and illness, I agree that any snark or other attacks regarding it are absolutely off limits. That's shit no one should have to deal with.

Any you really don't have to see combat to suffer from PTSD. Any sort of mental trauma can trigger it. Hell, I used to do disaster damage assessment for the Red Cross. After Katrina and Ike I came home all sorts of screwed up because of the things we saw. Took a couple months of therapy and a few weeks of sleep meds to get my head right again.

I don't think anyone here believes her story 100% (or 50%, or 10%), but some (including myself) are willing to wait awhile to see if she goes back to her same old crap.

I think at the end of the day, we all want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but our sense of logic & reasoning prevents us from doing so.

I really want to say it's no big deal and that I want to forgive MA, but I would feel like a complete fool if I did.
