the Jackson injury was not our fault, it had to do with a pre-existing condition in his hip.

but, think of all the kids around this town alone who were wearing Raider's jackets at the time. the entire "bo knows" add campaign. We are in the middle of a war for advertising dollars. we should not be able to call it like this. to say, we have to fumble here, so obviously we're going to fumble. the refs have to call a foul here so there will be a foul... and it happens, reliably, every time. we're not psychic, the pattern just reliably repeats like spring following winter. I don't know that we need a larger sample size at this point. We'll win win the person the Bengals pissed off dies. Probably about the time Pete Rose is allowed to be in the hall of fame on his death bed.
