If I am not mistaken, Sunday is also part of the opening weekend. Go to the game.

Drive faster, make it a 2 1/2 hour drive. As for the cost, well, I'm sure you can figure that part out. I have faith in ya!!

Currently 76% think you should go to the game, then go deer hunting the following week when Nebraska's playing @ Penn St.

yeah i'm torn. I also feel bad because my grandpa really wants me to come up for opening weekend which makes it tougher to say no to. I will say though that I am leaning towards going to the game at this moment. I've flipped back and forth so many times that it really means nothing at this point though.

That's my reasoning for going opening weekend, though. Nobody has been on our land all year other than typical preparations for the season. The people who own the land to the south of us though make the biggest racket you've ever heard though, and they scare all the nice bucks up our way the first weekend.

Ahh, some new information. This changes everything. If your Grandpa wants you to come up I would do it. There will be more games only so many hunting trips with your Gramps.

I voted game. It's a big one and all that.

But I'm also with HISL. If my grandpa wanted me to come down I'd do it in a second.

As I sit here waiting for the Pest Control Service(for my bugs) people to arrive, an 8 point buck walked right by my kitchen window. I would say 20 feet away from me.

How old is gramps? If he's in good health I'd still go next weekend when NU has an away game. I'm beyond the trophy stage of deer hunting myself as I've got plenty in my younger years, but I understand if that's your goal. For meat I'd just go later and take a doe if need be. Just saying if NU's turning a corner here you might want to be a part of that. Memorial's gonna be crazy to open up Saturday.

Nope, changed my mind. Go with grandpa. You never know when his last opening weekend could be. As a grandpa, I am a bit biased tho.

Better go hunting instead and just dvr the game, not going to be real exciting to watch 3 and outs from both offenses over and over, the game should be over in about 2 hrs with all the running anyway

It's weird cuz most people share that same opinion, but I am literally on the edge of my seat in games like that....

Nothing gets me goin quite like a good Defensive battle en sech

Now seeing a good defense shutting down a good offense, that's something to watch, I'm not so sure thats the case here

It just makes the big plays more exciting when they happen.....beings that they aren't happening every other down.

I enjoy watching the Oregons of the world........but it doesn't get me pumped up quite like some good solid fundamental Defense does en sech

Watching oregon vs Stanford, that was fun to watch as far as a defensive performance shutting down a known juggernaut
