help getting xbox online.

I have a 1st generation xbox that doesnt have wifi built in.

what do i need to do/buy to get it online?

FWIW i would prefer to go wireless but in a "have to" situation i could run an ethernet cord.


I hope to do this ASAP so i can play NCAA.

I assume you're talking about xbox 360... you need a wireless adapter...like the ones here: xbox 360 wireless network adapter | eBay

Though they sell them pretty much everywhere that sells video games.

And you need a Gold membership which you can buy at the store or on xbox live with a credit card.

i have the wireless adapter and it works fine..never cuts out or loses signal......

I had the white one and it worked like a charm. They seem to have gone down in price a bunch, they used to be around $100 and I thought it was a steal when I got mine for $50 on eBay.
