Ah well, We knew this was coming soon anyway. Sad to see him go, hope he leaves with his health intact.

yea james seamed to be coming along toward the end of the season for sureMe neither.
I figured he'd play for a couple more seasons. But the new guy, James, shows definite promise, and may be able to fill his shoes.
I really expected one more year. Damn. I'd have to rank him the best tight end the Steelers have had since the Super Bowl era. Although Eric Green was great for a few years, didn't have the longevity and sustained success that Heath did. I'm probably missing someone else completely, and will have to facepalm later, though.
In terms of the complete package, reliable catching and blocking, longevity...clear cut imo...best ever in team history.
I agree, clear cut best TE in team history and it's not close. IMO in the top 5 best revievers in team history. I know today's passing stats are inflated compared to yesteryear but he's 2nd only to Hines in several Steeler recieving catagories.
