I was one of them.

I predicted the HEAT would win in 5 games as well.

I also predicted 3 of the 4 HEAT wins would be blowouts.

So, I am just as surprised as the HEAT fans.

It has more to do with D-Wade and Bosh then anything Indiana did.

they are playing like NBDL players. Wade literally seems afraid to shoot.

If they gave anything at all, the series would be over in 5 games.

Big mistake there. You need to study up if you think that. Indy has been a top defensive team all year and its been no different in this series. They've forced Miami into a tempo that favors Indy in nearly every game. The shots the Heat are taking are typically the ones Indy wants them to take. While its clear Wade is hurt by his own injuries, Indy has largely made Bosh a non factor on both sides of the ball. This isn't an effort issue. It's Indy's defense is just that good.

One thing I don't get is how LBJ gets called for a T for running down the court if he never said a word to the refs? Is there a rule stating that if you run down the court w/out saying a word to the ref that you're giving a T

Yes, there's a rule. Techs aren't just verbal. It's anything the ref determines upstages them. That includes language, demonstrative gestures, etc. Running down the court like James did was excessive and falls into that category.

I actually think Indiana is probably the toughest matchup for Miami in the league when I really think about it. The Spurs are a great team but I don't think they will give Miami as much trouble on offense as Indiana does if Miami advances to the finals. The challenges that the Spurs will give Miami would be mainly on the defense. I think Wade & Bosh would have better series against the Spurs if they happen to meet. Spurs have a good defense but I think Indiana defense is much better.

Indy's got a ton of length at all 5 of their starting positions. That helps a ton. They can clog most passing lanes just by putting their arms up. They've also been coached extremely well. Their rotations are almost always spot on and all 5 guys basically move as one. And of course there's Hibbert, who alters just about every shot within 10 feet of the rim. There was a paper at the Sloan conference trying to come up analytics to measure defensive presence at he was at the top.

The Spurs have the size down low to give Miami trouble, but the perimeter could be an issue. Parker and Ginobili aren't strong defensive players, not even really average. Green can be hit or miss but Leonard is pretty solid. They're good as a group but there's definitely more holes for Miami to exploit if they make it that far

Turnup is not a Heat fan....He's a Lebron James fan

Your a joke with this nonsense.

I would love nothing more then for Wade/Bosh to combine for 50.
Problem for the Heat is that it isn't going to happen in THIS series if the play the same style of ball that they have been playing.

We need to see/hope early on in game 7' if there is a possibility that it can change. The only way it can is if both come out aggressive and attack the rim.

If they are injured, passive, whatever, then we have enough other players who can give us better floor spacing which will give us a better opportunity to win.

Monday is game 7. I fully hope/think that the entire team will come out pumped up and as emotional as we have ever seen them, and if that is that case, the aggression on the court will follow.

I don't want to hear about how proud Spoelstra is of Wade for giving what he can while playing so injured. He really isn't giving that much. Again, lets all hope it changes in the next 48 hours.

A snoozefest and a easy Spurs win in 5 games probably.

I think if the Heat win, we are locked in for at least a 6 game series....Probably 7

My bad....Just a little frustrated tonight

I think Spo need to draw up some quick hitting plays for them. Try to get Wade going with a little backdoor play and if you can run a pick & roll with Bosh and James so Bosh can hopefully get an easy hoop.

We have 3 wins so far, so you tell me, what is by far the biggest factor in the Heat getting those 3 wins?
Let's take a look at some very simple facts in this series...

Game 1 Heat win hold Pacers FG shooting to 44.6%
LBJ goes for 30-10-10

Game 2 Pacers win allow Pacers FG shooting to 50%
LBJ goes for 36-8-3

Game 3 Heat win hold Pacers FG shooting to 39.7%
LBJ goes for 22-4-3

Game 4 Pacers win allow Pacers FG shooting to 50%
LBJ goes for 24-6-5

Game 5 Heat win hold Pacers FG shooting to 44.9%
LBJ goes for 30-8-6

Game 6 Pacers win allow Pacers FG shooting to 50%
LBJ goes for 29-7-6

LBJ has had both good games in wins and a loss and below average games in both a win and a loss. I also see when the Pacers shoot 50 percent or more they win and when the Pacers shoot below 45 percent they lose.

Pretty simple, when look at the three wins as opposed to the three losses to say by far the biggest difference is the Heat's defense.

I'll go on the record right now, if the Pacers shoot 50 percent or more in Game 7, the Pacers will face the Spurs in the Finals, regardless of what James does.

No problem. We all are. If anything, I was more frustrated with James then anyone else when he came out so passive in the 3rd quarter tonight.

Clearly Wade/Bosh were struggling. You cant fall double digits behind hoping they snap out of their funk.

It was for the most part all over at that point. The Pacers aren't the Bucks.
You cant think that it will ever be easy to make up double digits against their defense.

In this case, however I think that is really unfair - these guys are playing their asses off and while it was Lebron James this time, the next time it's going to be some one else. I get it that they don't want the players doing shit, but it's an emotional game - let them be human to show some emotion. To expect them to say and do nothing as if nothing happened is completely unreasonable

Normally I'd agree but that was excessive... I was impressed seeing Lebron take charge last game and yelling down his team then killing the 3rd... Then he does that... I get it, he was frustrated and is use to getting that call... But his reaction was a bit much... :sadbron:

I don't see why it would be any less exciting than Heat/Pacers except for having Lebron as a polarizing figure. Tony Parker will have to deal with Hibbert. Paul George is busting on to the scene. David West is exciting. Duncan and Pop have legacy implications. Teams seem to both match up with each other.

I would expect Parker will just drive normally, only he will dish the ball out to the wings more than usual - unless Hibbert is occupied, then he'll just lay it on in.

I TOLD Y'ALL that Miami may win, but this series wasn't going to be some series where Miami just showed up and the lesser team wilted beneath their feet. Another thing I don't want to hear ANYTHING ABOUT is Dwayne Wade. What was I saying since the Bulls series? "If Wade is a piece of himself it's going to be difficult for Miami". Everybody already knew this, yet it was "Heat in 5". So don't use Wade as an excuse now as if you didn't already know how he was playing. It's just this simple, Indy was never going down easy and this was always going to be a long series. As for game 7, the experienced team at home always has the advantage, but it shall be interesting. Nothing like game 7's in sports....

i just don't understand this sentiment. why would it be a snoozefest. to my eye indy is actually a more fun team to watch than miami, and especially in this series indy has been a helluva lot more fun to watch. and i will never understand why people think the spurs are boring. i hate the spurs but they are not a boring team to watch.

this is the problem with the nba and why i have become progressively more turned off by it. too much of a star driven league watched by fans who are eager to drink the kool-aide. the only reason people don't want to watch the pacers is because they don't know anyone on the team.

that is solely the nba's fault for only marketing certain players in their hype driven machine.

if the pacers win then the league has only fucked itself for not letting anyone know who these guys are, and i for one hope they fuck themselves royally.
