i am pretty sure the heat can win without bosh.

as for letting wade go/trading him?

maybe this is why (some) heat fans are so annoying. too short of a memory. after the mourning/hardaway years, it was wade who put them back on the map. it was wade who brought lebron and bosh to miami. he brought them a championship before those guys even got there, and maybe he had shaq, but he carried that team. he turned that series around against dallas. before shaq got there, he carried a bunch of b-list/c-list players through a great playoff run.

that guy IS the miami heat, and what he has done to sacrifice his game for the greater good of the team by letting lebron be the guy...

as a fan you are allowed to be sentimental and he is the LAST guy you should want to be gone from the team.

The key to the Heat winning tonight was they finished out possessions on defense instead of allowing all these offensive rebounds. The Pacers OFF REB % dropped from 42 in G4 to 15 tonight

Bosh is theoretically really important for Miami in a 'more than numbers' sense for matching up on offense and defense. He might be overpaid but coaches respect him enough to do things like what Indiana did at the end of game 1.

Bosh and DWade had some really good stretches during the regular season. They are stars. But this isn't baseball. All 5 guys are on the court and only 1 guy is going to shoot. And its Lebron. It has to be Lebron.

This team isn't in the 'best team of all time' discussion but Lebron is certainly playing like a guy thats trying to be the best Forward ever.

If you want to see what happens to a team with 2 stars and no spacing, go watch the Grizzlies-Spurs series again.

So you admit it was the rebounding and not the refs...? Lol

Props where they are due, Lebron shut shit down in the 3rd... Indiana should have sat their guys around 5min left in the game... lets see what Indiana can do...

If you don't think Bosh is important to this team then you don't know basketball. When Bosh got injured in the post season last year, it took Lebron and Wade to both go off to win a close 6-game series.

Moving on to the Boston series, Miami was lucky to have taken a 2-0 lead. Doc Rivers being the coach that he is exploited the fact that Miami didn't have the length (that Bosh provides) to contend with KG down in the post and subsequently went on to win the next 3 games. Once Bosh came back he was able to neutralize KG and allow Lebron to be Lebron and ultimately win the series.

Bosh needs to play better. Wade's going to be hit or miss the rest of this series. It also doesn't get any harder as it comes to the Pacers when running your offense. They're the best all around defense in the league. Not saying the Pacers are a better team then the Spurs, but they provide significant matchup problems for the Heat (West and Hibbert) while being a sound fundamental defense team both in the paint and on the perimeter. It's going to be a gritty game 6 on Saturday night.

The refs made some terrible calls in the final minutes of that game against us but in terms of basketball reasons why we lost G4? Rebounding was obviously the #1 factor.

I amended that previously. I said I don't

I don't mind UD on the court. What I don't want are the better offensive weapons bypassing good shots to force the ball to one of our worst shooters over the season. Allen has struggled all series but if I have to choose between Allen or UD taking a clutch shot tomorrow, give me Allen all day.

Hindsight is 20/20. Anyway, neither is really the Heats problem right now.
Wade is problem #1. He is a shell of himself and he needs to just accept that he needs to function as a role player for the rest of the season. He should use his energy on mostly defense, and then take the easy offense/shots when they are there. Charmers/Cole get to the rim at will. That proves Wades knee is the problem, not the Pacers defense.

Next, Bosh messed up his ankle. He was already having a mediocre series but you can see since the injury that he is even more limited then he was before.

I can live with the fact that the Pacers are just a tough matchup for him. I think if healthy, he will be much more productive vs the Spurs.

Lets hope James plays with the same sense of urgency tomorrow because Bosh could really use those few extra days off.

i am pretty sure the heat can win without bosh.

look up their record with out Bosh, they haven't. And when Wade or LBJ is out Bosh has stepped up huge.

as for letting wade go/trading him?

maybe this is why (some) heat fans are so annoying. too short of a memory. after the mourning/hardaway years, it was wade who put them back on the map. it was wade who brought lebron and bosh to miami...

because nobody was willing to live in Cleveland.

that guy IS the miami heat, and what he has done to sacrifice his game for the greater good of the team by letting lebron be the guy...

Please, him still insisting on him still being the guy cost them a ring. There are a ton of ways to spin shit. and NOBODY on that team has sacrificed more than BOSH

as a fan you are allowed to be sentimental and he is the LAST guy you should want to be gone from the team.

Sentiment is for irrational fans, I am the thinking man's fan, the big picture guy, I am robot, win at all costs, win now, and win tomorrow. Everyone gets caught up in 5 years ago for stars because you love them but only think about "what have you done for me lately" for role players because you do not think they are important.

I know what wade did, I know it is blasphemous to suggest trading him, but I do not have a religion outside of winning and I know what would be best for winning and that is trading Wade for some cap space and a young Big who will sacrifice winning for money.

Wade taking a pay cut would be a huge deal for the heat, and Wade is the type willing to do it. In that case Bosh should take a pay cut too but I would love to see LBJ over all of them take a pay cut. IMO nothing shows you are a leader more than showing you are not above the team and showing you will do whatever it takes to win. They all took pay cuts once and then the NBA teamed up against them.

This team would have been monetarily fine through the length of their contracts under old salaray cap laws. What the league did to them was bullshit.

Whether trading Wade is in the best interest of the franchise I have no idea. The franchise is a business with fans to please. It is like the Kobe thing. He is not worth $30m on the court or whatever he makes, but he sells tickets and jersey's and all that other stuff that pays his contract and then some. I will say that I think any franchise will get over losing a Wade or Kobe if the result is a better team that wins it all.

I amended that previously. I said I don't

whew :D

Lets hope James plays with the same sense of urgency tomorrow because Bosh could really use those few extra days off.

Pretty much every thing in this post was gold, LETS GO HEAT!!!!

Wade can elbow people in the head and Chris Anderson can cheap shot anyone he wants.

well, i know all you Heat fans have penciled yourselves into the finals and all that rubbish, but i don't think the Pacers are quite done...

just puttin' that out there...

Nothing is guaranteed, but the Heat havn't lost 2 in a row since mid JANUARY. I wouldn't expect that to change when for it to change, they would have to lose a game 7 on thier HC (if they lose tomorow).

Heat fans should thank and embrace the Pacers for being such a tough opponent. They just may be the toughest team we have to face in the post season.
They have the recipe/formula to beat the Heat. They have size. They play rugged. And most important, they learned from the Bulls to not force bad, quick shots, let alone alot of 3's which slows down the game and the Heats fast break opportunities.
Despite all of this, despite Wade being his typically injured playoff self, despite Bosh playing terrible, the Heat will still prevail. That is attributed to nothing but the greatness of James.

Just shows what BS it is when we hear how much tougher the top of the West is compared to the East.

The Heat might still be favored to win, but as the champions that is expected. Let's not
forget, however that winning back to back championships is tough and not done that often and the Lakers is the only team to have done that in the last 20 years, so there is some History that we can hope goes against the Heat and kicks them to the curb
