I think ppl use the word choke too often and also use it incorrectly.
He did not choke....He made poor decisions.
Funny how people only use the choke word when it is dealing with LBJ. Durant played like shit in the 4th quarter in the final 4 games of the Memphis series but nobody thought about using the choke word.
Better get some Windex for the ball. That or clean off your glasses. Its going to be close but the Heat are a better team than the Pacers.
Translation:"i wanna avoid the use of the word when it involves one of my players". missed shots bad decisions, whatever STILL qualifies as a choke. i don't know why you want to candy-coat it. it happens. maybe it won't the next game, maybe it will...

If they do come up short then its going to be because thats what happened and not due to your snow globe you claim is a crystal ball.so you say. but if that IS the case then they better not come up short ...in this series OR getting a title. or else that automatially puts the lie to those words...
I would call choking making a mental mistake out of fear. LBJ didnt look too frightened to me but you are entitled to think so. I just wonder what makes him "afraid" one game and fearless the next?
So what you're saying is anytime in a close game your top player either misses a shot or turn the ball over it is a choke?
If this is the case Every great player in the NBA has choked many many times.

Read my signature. Fear paralyzes. Making a lazy pass is not a choke. Throwing it into the stands because youre afraid is.k, then i guess that's your definition of it. some can rush decisions or not "calculate all possible data" when making a decision. in my book that makes it just as big a choke. i don't think it's always FEAR that does it...
choke is used when someone makes a bad play to cost his team the game. lebron choked this game. okay. ive seen kobe do it. ive seen jordan do it. ive seen every NBA superstar do it. it happens. not a big deal.

I have a miniature genie sitting in my office controlling the flow of the events worldwide. Your little snow globe is second rate at best.you're just mad because my "snow globe" is higher quality than yours...![]()

I don't recall the last possession but if he did run from the ball I don't care because the game was over pretty much barring a miracle. You don't win games down 4 with 8 seconds to go and 0 timeouts left in this league.
I highly doubt they even ran a play for LBJ there. Their only chance there was to get a catch & shoot 3 there.

You do if you have Reggie Miller!! LOL!!
Seriously though, no hate from re: Lebron on the last possessions. No player, regardless of how great they are, hits game winners and clutch shots every time, not Magic, not Bird, not MJ, not Kobe and not Lebron. It's the fact that they are unafraid to take those shots that makes them great and enables them to hit as many of those as they do.
Lebron doesn't shrink or disappear from those moments anymore, so he gets respect for that, at least from me!!
But I still don't like him!!![]()
