The NCAA had a hard on for the Buckeyes that year. I've always believed that if tOSU had imposed a bowl ban, the NCAA would have come down with a two year ban. Still, it wouldn't have hurt to try.

but seeing how miami were given a gift in punishment......... What happened down there was worse........ and no bowl ban, yes they got other things, but still. self imposed bowl ban, none from ncaa.
