Thought he was a longshot anyway.
Glad he gave it a go.

I always like to see a couple of UDFAs make the team. Lengi on defense and Carr on offense are both guys that are easy to root for... This gives Carr a clearer shot.

When will he be diagnosed with CTE?

I only ask (and I so hope he doesn't) because of that study where 110 out of 111 NFL deceased brains tested had CTE

Wish him the best of luck and kudos to him for knowing when it was time to shut it down and not do serious damage to himself.

There some research that's ongoing where they're hoping that a certain test on a blood sample will give some type of indicator that CTE has started in the test subject's brain.

With all of the genome stuff that's unfolding, There's supposed to be some type of enzyme or hormone or something that is released by the damaged portion of the brain.

Nothing concrete yet, but I'm sure within the next 5 years they will have something that will pick up CTE in an active player and probably be able to know the level of damage within the next 10 years. Would be great if it became a an annual test for middle and high school kids as well as college.

I can see parents fighting for those tests. Part of passing your physical.
