I keep hearing that the Cowboys have no talent on defense. From what I can see there are not a lot of scrubs on the defense. Irving,Collins and brown are talented IMO. Brown has impressed me since training camp.

I was gonna make a thread with the same title. That was the best game our defense has played in 5-6 years at least. Gave up one play to OB, that's it. Made stop after stop, gave us chance after chance. Good game by Zeke. Dez Bryant flat out shit the bed. Lazy ass routes, giving up on plays, then fumbles with us at the 40, about 25 yards away from money for the best kicker in the game.
As to Dak..the Giants know us well, have great schemes for us, and match up well talent wise. You could make a case that BOTH interceptions were on Dez...he falls down on one and is running around like a lost puppy on the other. I think he will be fine..... There are a couple of reasons for concern though. There were times when he had all night long to throw, and couldn't find anyone. He was a tick late on his decision making. JG commented that he missed some open guys in the first half. I think it's just an off night and Garrett would stick by a guy that saved his season and won 11 straight games....but I guarantee you, if he has another off game in a loss against Tampa, JG will be asked to report to Jerry's office for a confab lol
Agree. The defense was fantastic. This wasn't the case of just bad weather, although that obviously helped both defenses. Even when we gave up completions our guys had very good coverage. Our pass rush was there and the run defense was there. Sean lee was just a friggin animal. If you cut the number of his good plays in half he still would have been the player of the game by a lot. I thought Carr played tough all night too. Jones had a huge missed tackle, but it was on the drive that Brown got the Int. Crawford was great. Everyone really was good on defense for the most part. We were a Church missed tackle/bad angle on OBJ from winning that game. Or maybe 6 inches more on Baileys kick...

I had a feeling we weren't coming out of there with a win. It was a bad game for Dak and a pathetic game for Dez. Shit happens. On to next week...

Dez did not play well, but Dak was off on his throws. You can't blame that last INT on Dez.
Dez absolutely had a hand in both Ints. He was in a daze all night. Basically he sucked IMO. But Dak threw the balls so can't blame Dez. The first one wouldn't have been an Int if he didn't fall, but it was real tight coverage, so possibly shouldn't have thrown it even if he didn't fall. So bad luck, but Dak still gets some blame. The second one Dez looked disinterested in the play. Someone should have spoken to him and asked him if he even wanted to play that night. No excuse for that. But, what was Dak even thinking? No reason to really throw that pass IMO even if Dez was paying attention. But if he doesn't get a return it's like a long punt and no harm, no foul.

No he was not worse then Dax last night.
Dez was the worst player on the field for either team. I know you are a big Dez guy, but come on. you gotta be objective. He was horrible. He couldn't get open had 3 balls thrown his way that he didn't even seem to try for. Had one where he fell down that we had a big pick on and and another where he fumbled away the game. He had his head up his ass all night and someone on the Cowboy sideline should have had a talk with him about it

Another Web site showed how Dak was way late on that wounded duck on the sideline pass. Dez was wide open, Dak hesitated and missed him. Also that long pass to Dez was a bad read by Dak on the second int. Dez slipped on the first one and should not have fumbled the ball on that critical last play. Check out the morning news report.Great game analysis.

You can't possibly say Dez was the worst player. Dak IMO was awful.. You guys hate Dez soo much you cannot be objective. I wish you guys would keep it real. Every time Dez does anything good. Very few have any thing good to say. Dak could not hit the broad side of a barn on Sunday. why can't you see that??. Did Dez mess up? Absolutely, but this constant Dez bashing is just stupid.

"You guys"??? That's a bunch of BS. Where did I show hate for Dez? I praise him when he is good and I criticize him when he is bad just like I do every player. He sucked Sunday night. Watch how he doesn't run hard on like 4 or 5 patterns that we saw. Who knows how many we didn't. He fumbled in a HUGE spot. he fell and it led to a huge turnover. he couldn't get open most of the night. A QB can't always hit the guy the second he gets open when there are 4 or 5 receivers in the pattern. That would be called locking in on one guy. IMO Dez just didn't look like he tried his best Sunday night and lack of effort is never acceptable. He lets DBs get in his head and he loses focus sometimes IMO.

On Dak: hasn't pretty much EVERYONE said he had a shitty game? Everyone??? So your comment "Dak could not hit the broad side of a barn on Sunday. why can't you see that??" doesn't make any sense. I said Dak was very bad Sunday night

I have to be honest if you can't admit Dez had a horrible and I mean horrible game Sunday night then I have trouble giving you any credibility on the topic of Dez at all. Dak wasn't good, but he wasn't as bad as Dez. Dez didn't do anything right all night. Dak did little right, but little is more than nothing...:2cents:

I apologize. Not you, but others when it comes to dez. I am not a dez apologist, I just feel that some fans do not treat him fairly.

I think there is a lot of unwarranted criticism of Dez, but I think a lot of it is deserved too. If he wants to be seen as a top WR in this league and if the team wants to portray him as such he needs to get open and make plays even if doubled and even if the QB is struggling. We can't force the ball to him when the results are detrimental. We need to spread the ball around and keep doing what worked. If the QB is having troubling with accuracy he needs to get even more open or come back to the ball or just do something to make sure he helps the team. That may not sound fair to Dez, but it is what the great WRs do.

As far as those that don't treat him fairly it isn't going to change so why let it bother you? We have a handful on here that put Romo over the team and have lost all credibility because of it. The team is what matters, not one player. Who cares if another fan doesn't think as highly of Dez as you do. There will always be a bunch on here that have their "pet players" and players they seem to have issues with. We all watch the same game and see different things sometimes

Fair enough on Dez. I see your point except getting more open with a QB with accuracy issues. When a ball is way under thrown or no where near you, no reciever in the world can help a QB out. Dak is better when he spreads it around. I hope Dak does that the next game and not force it to Dez.

Agree. Tough to word what I am trying to say. What I meant was he just needs to try that much harder and make it easier on the QB. The problem with Dez being elite is his lack of speed. He has the strength and usually the hands, but if he isn't going to run great routes or have great timing like Irvin or Novacek he needs to find another way to make plays. He also needs to stop complaining and letting these defenders get to him. But, when your QB is struggling is when he needs you the most. totally agree on Dak spreading it around too. He needs to hit the open guy, not worry about forcing it to Dez. I think some of that is on Dak for throwing it, some is on Linehan for calling it and some may be on Dez if he is telling Dak he was open every time he doesn't look his way, but he really wasn't.

Dez makes the big money, he considers himself in the same class as Julio Jones and OB. When he plays like he did against the Giants, he deserves to be called out, unless he is really not ''that guy''.
