How does the HEAD coach having input constitute interference? Now maybe he had poor decision making but he was the head coach.

Sportster, I think it is just a semantics thing. Haslett was complaining that he could not run his defense the way he wanted (at least that is what I remember hearing). That was his way of saying Shanny interfered. If it is bs or not we should find out this year.

I don't doubt that Shanahan had a huge role in the defensive scheme we ran last year. He is a control freak. Our scheme last year was not an attacking style scheme that Haslett has traditionally employed.
