after the signing of the 15 new recruits for 2019 that they still had 3 more scholarships left to give out.

Yet when I count up the scholarship players for Boise State on Offense, Defense and Special Teams and the 15 new recruits I come up with a total of 83 players.

Offense - 40

Defense - 42

Special Teams - 1

And that accounts for Mattison leaving for the NFL

This could be explained a couple of ways. Either there is someone who I believed to be on scholarship who is not. OR Harsin is expecting one current scholarship player to not return - who isn't already known publicly. OR one of the 15 new recruits is going to be grey-shirted next fall.

I'm GUESSING that one of the three available scholarships will be given to walk-on TE Garrett Collingham. But that is just that.............a GUESS.

We're learning a whole new roster next year that's for sure.

I think possibly the worst news this offseason was that Florida State hired Kendal Briles, suddenly our opener doesn't look at all winnable now. Briles so badly out-coached Avalos a few years ago, I think it was the worst performance by Avalos' defense yet.

Biggest question mark is obviously QB. I'm assuming Cord won't be ready by FSU. As talented as he is, it would be nice to see Hank get a RS year before being thrown out there, but I'm not sure BSU will have that luxury. It could be an appealing option for one of these transfer QBs who have one year to play.
